The exhibitios and events by the Salzburger Kunstverein are free of charge.

The Salzburger Kunstverein is situated on the edge of the old town in the Nonntal district. You find the stately building dating from the late 19th century next to the county court near the Nonntal Bridge (Karolinen bridge) on the left side of the Salzach river.

Getting there

The Salzburger Kunstverein is very easy to reach by public transport and by bike. Therefore we would like to ask you—in the spirit of sustainability—to travel by public transport or by bike if possible.

By bus:

Line 3, 8 (bus stop “Justizgebäude/Künstlerhaus”)

Line 5, 25, 6, 7 (bus stop “Justizgebäude”)

 

By bike:

The cycle path along the Salzach passes directly behind the building. 
Sufficient bicycle parking spaces are available here.

Parking is available behind the Künstlerhaus (entrance at the district court). There are also two parking lots at Petersbrunnhof/Nonntal (5 minutes on foot, charges apply).

The Salzburger Kunstverein and its staff are committed to ensuring that people with disabilities have a pleasant visit to the Salzburger Kunstverein.
 

If you have any questions, you can reach us during office opening hours (Monday to Friday 10am-12pm) on +43 662 842294 or office@salzburger-kunstverein.at. Outside office opening hours, you can reach our visitor service from Monday to Friday from 12pm to 7pm or at weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 12pm to 7pm by calling +43 662 842294-27.
 

Barrier-free access
The Salzburger Kunstverein has been converted to be barrier-free within the framework of the possibilities of monument protection. For people with disabilities, access to the Salzburger Kunstverein is via the rear entrance on the Salzach, address: Franz-Hinterholzer-Kai

The disabled parking lot of the Salzburger Kunstverein is located directly in front of the rear entrance on the Franz-Hinterholzer-Kai side. You can reach the parking lot via the one-way access road behind the district court in the direction of Franz-Hinterholzer-Kai.
 

Public transportation

If you arrive by public transport, you can reach the rear entrance via the sidewalk in the direction of the district court. The front entrance of the Salzburger Kunstverein does not have a wheelchair-accessible entrance/stairs.

On the mezzanine floor you will find our exhibition rooms, the public and barrier-free WCs and the Bistro Tula. All areas of the mezzanine floor (exhibition rooms, Appendix Art Hub, WCs, bistro, studios) are barrier-free.

People with walking difficulties can borrow a folding chair from our visitor service. Guide dogs for the blind are permitted.
