Gerda Ridler
President

Dr. Gerda Ridler (*1963 in Upper Austria), studied Art History in Vienna and Cultural Management in Ludwigsburg / DE. She has been active in the arts and cultural scene for 30 years, including as Director of the Upper Austria State Museum (Landesmuseum) in Linz, Founding Director of the Museum Ritter, Waldenbuch / DE, Project Manager for Visual Arts at the Steirischer Herbst Festival in Graz, Curator at the Lentos Art Museum in Linz, and as an art educator at the Belvedere Vienna. Since 2019, she has been active in Salzburg as an independent curator, educator, author, and certified advisor and authority on art after 1945. Since 2022, Gerda Ridler has been the artistic director of the Landesgalerie Niederösterreich.

Peter Krön
Honorary President
(1928 - 2019)

Studied philosophy in Munich and law in Graz. 1965-1971 Secretary General of the Catholic Action Salzburg and presenter of the television series “Orientation.” 1971-1993 Head of the Department for Nature Conservation and Culture, later for Culture and Sport of the State of Salzburg. 1994-2001 President of the Salzburg Kunstverein, most recently he was largely responsible for the financing of the 2001 reconstruction.

Elfrid Wimmer-Repp
Honorary President

Born in 1954 in Vienna. Studied stage and costume design at the Mozarteum University from 1972 to 1977. From 1978 to 1988, she held a teaching position at the Mozarteum University in textile design and craft. Since 1982, she has worked independently as a freelance planner. From 1991 to 1994, she co-ran an architectural office with architect Ursula Spannberger under the name Architekturbühne Salzburg. Since 1995, she has continued the Architekturbühne with freelance collaborators. In 2003, she became a board member of the Salzburg Kunstverein. From 2004 to 2020, she served as president of the Salzburg Kunstverein, during which time she was responsible for several renovation phases aimed at preserving the historic Künstlerhaus. From 2012 to 2019, she taught design, technology, and textiles at the Mozarteum University. Since 2023, she has served as chair of the Art Advisory Board of the City of Salzburg. architekturbuehne.at

Eva Hody
Vice president

Eva Hody (*1966 in Zürich), studied architecture at the Technical University in Vienna, and did postgraduate training in monument preservation at Academia Istropolitana Nova in Slovakia. She has been active for 20 years in the Federal Monuments Office, first in Vienna, then in Salzburg and Bregenz, and since 2012, Head of the department in Salzburg. She is a member of an Expert commission for the preservation of the old city and a member of the board of the Initiative Architektur, Salzburg. As an advisor and jurist, she has been closely involved in the development process of various architecture and art projects in the city of Salzburg. 

Anna Flotzinger
Treasurer

Dr. Anna Flotzinger (*1956 in Ried / Innkreis), studied law in Salzburg. Until 2015, she was active as an auditor and tax advisor, and managing director of Ernst & Young, Salzburg. She has been a student at Uni 55 PLUS in Salzburg since 2016. She has diverse voluntary work in NGOs (as an auditor or adviser). Her interest include art, history, politics, travel and cuisine.

Ulrike Lienbacher
Secretary, Artist

Born 1963. From 1981-87 Ulrike Lienbacher studied at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. From 2017-2022 she was head of the sculpture class at the Mozarteum University. She lives and works in Vienna and Salzburg.  

Erik Hable
Artist

Erik Hable was born in Linz and has lived in Salzburg since 1990. He works with a wide range of media and realizes his artistic projects in the form of spatial installations. These are usually site-specific, process-based, and often collaborative. They emerge and exist within the context of a specific place and time, engaging and collaborating with the local people.

Within the collective Alpine Gothic, his artistic practice focuses on the thematic realm of the Alpine and its folkloric phenomena. He co-founded the artist collectives “The Video Sisters” (1995) and “Alpine Gothic” (2009). He has curated projects at venues including 50ZWANZIG, the Museum der Moderne, and Kunst im Traklhaus. He has received international grants and undertaken residencies in cities such as Chicago, Melbourne, Paris, Frankfurt, Warsaw, Montpellier, Rotterdam, and Mexico City. Erik Hable teaches as a Senior Artist in the Department of Fine Arts & Design at the Mozarteum University.

Stefan Heizinger
Artist

Stefan Heizinger is a visual artist and co-operates as free cultural producer at periscope:project:space and SUPER initiative. He lives in Austria, in Salzburg and Vienna. His interests lie in the development of self-determination, authenticity, cultural reception, personal involvement and self-competence.

From 1994 artistic studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, especially at the department of fine arts and design, in 2000 graduation as master of arts with excellent success, study stay at the Sheffield Hallam University (UK), Residencies at the Cité des Artes in Paris (FR) and in Berlin (DE). Before high school graduation at Gymnasium Petrinum Linz, extracurricular activities in the field of visual art, music and literature. Born in 1975 in Linz, Upperaustria.

Renate Lachinger
former culture journalist, ORF Salzburg

Dr. Renate Lachinger (*1956 Kirchdorf / Krems), studied piano at the Bruckner Linz Conservatory and German Studies and History at the University of Salzburg. Until May 2019, she was Editor of Culture at ORF Salzburg. Her numerous reports and broadcasts about exhibitions, concerts, galleries, museums and theater performances were done for ZIB, Culture Monday, 3-Sat Culture Time, and Salzburg Today. She was also responsible for TV documentaries on the poet Georg Trakl, the painter Anton Faistauer, the Salzburg Cathedral Quarter, the Sattler Panorama, and the composition of “Silent Night,” which was broadcast in various European countries.

Beate Terfloth
Artist

Born 1958 in Hong Kong. Beate Terfloth spent her childhood in various Asian countries and in Angola. She studied at the HdK Berlin with Johannes Geccelli and at the Kunstakademie München with Günter Fruhtrunk. After her studies she lived in Rome for six years and taught at the National College of Arts in Lahore, Pakistan for four years. Since 1999 she has lived mainly in Berlin and travels regularly to Lahore. In 2007 she organized “Correspondence” a trialogue through works by students in Lahore, Harvard and the HfK Bremen. From 2009-2024 she was professor for drawing and graphics at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg.
