Emerging Artist Award of the state of Salzburg and the Salzburger Kunstverein 2023

In 2023, the Salzburg provincial government and the Salzburger Kunstverein will again award the “Emerging Artist Award of the state of Salzburg and the Salzburger Kunstverein” in the amount of Euro 3,000 to one of the submitting artists. Included is also a solo exhibition in the Kabinett of the Salzburger Kunstverein in the following year (Dec./Jan.).
 

A submission for the Emerging Artist Award is not linked to a submission for exhibition participation in the Annual Exhibition 2023. You can also submit ONLY for the Emerging Artist Award. Membership in the Salzburger Kunstverein is a prerequisite for submission. The Emerging Artist Award will be presented at the opening of the annual exhibition.

Submission documents:

For the application we ask you to send

- a detailed portfolio (including detailed CV, contact details, digital only, only one Word or PDF document).

- Catalogs and brochures or additional information are welcome.

If you are also applying for the annual exhibition, we need the application documents (portfolio, etc.) and any catalogs and brochures only once. This means that you send us one submission with all necessary documents and please mark clearly that you are applying for both the annual exhibition and the sponsorship award.

A) By email: info@salzburger-kunstverein.at

Digital images or online link to the works in an email (larger files via dropbox, wetransfer or compressed). The submission date of the email is valid without exception.

B) Personal submission at the Salzburger Kunstverein (only for catalogs):

As of now: Tue-Sun 12 to 7 pm in the shop of the Salzburger Kunstverein.

Conditions of participation:

Prerequisite for participation is membership in the Salzburger Kunstverein in 2023. The membership fee must be received by the submission deadline (September 18, 2023), otherwise the submission cannot be considered.
